Why the “medical” in Smooth Solutions Medical Aesthetics?

When I was thinking of starting a new part to my medical career and the idea of the “Med-SPA” became popular, I thought at the time, “I don’t want to be a spa” after all I did put all those years into clinical medicine and I am a physician.

So my goal became searching for something new, creative, interesting and medical. Adding the term “medical” to our name served a great purpose because it pushed me to stay out of the traditional “spa” business. I wanted to be a physician and a scientist as well as an artist. My parents where both oil painters and had an artistic eye. The industry was changing and I wanted to change with it rapidly.

What “put me on the map” was bioidentical hormone replacement therapy treating menopausal females and andropausal males (of which I was one). BHRT enlightened me, it was a true blessing that improved my quality of life and sent my business skyrocketing. It was different, helpful to patients and improved my quality of life.

I started to market my serves as “quality of life medicine” and began looking for new more natural, regenerative procedures to further my business. I became an “integrative doctor” and started doing things more naturally. After all, med spas where creeping up all over with all kinds of different providers doing Botox, facial dermal filling and Cool Sculpting, so I had to be more a medical, more physician based practice.

I was the first to do sexual wellness with vaginal rejuvenation and ED, which went hand in hand with BHRT. We started using blood platelets (PRP) both cosmetically and sexually, as well as exosomes both human and plant based. Just look at our menu of services and see what we have developed into.

We became the true “Medical Aesthetics” practice in western New York. This is why the term “medical” is so important, and yes I am A PHYSICIAN. We are now in practice doing our do diligence for the last 20 years helping people improve their quality of life.
